NSS Unit of Fatikroy Class XII School is an old one and has been carrying out year-long activities, covering a wide range of important initiatives. The unit has been recognized as the best unit of the State in 2021 for its outstanding contributions. Sri Ranjit Das, the Programme Officer (PO) of NSS, was awarded the title of Best Programme Officer by the state government.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a youth-based organization in India that promotes social responsibility through voluntary community service. It was launched in 1969 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, to foster social harmony and to help students connect with the community and contribute to national development.
